The saint is depicted half-length and wearing the Franciscan habit, in an attitude of raising his gaze to heaven. In the left hand he shows some roses and in the right hand he holds a cross. The background is neutral and smooth, the brushstrokes can be observed very well, due to its good state of preservation. It is exceptional for its support (copper plate), which demanded a certain technique at the time of its execution, in which Ribera was a master. /Extracted from: A.A.V.V.: Gómez-Moreno Institute (catalog).
